Job Security for Laura Now In Question

The Duke has been a busy boy.   The 'looking posting' at NONONE - Adult Community, appears to have been started on May 28, 2012 4:11 am.

If you have been following the development of events you are well aware Alex was still firmly shackled, uh, married, to Laura when this went up.  He is, as far as we know, still legally married to her and living with her today.

The Posting did not mention any such inconvenient details.  It did include enough, however, to show it is indeed, the Dolt of Manchester.

The name he is using is - lmontymont
This is the handle Alex has used for his email for many, many years.

There are four photos provided, reproduced here from the time Alex was around 20 years of age.  Recent photos show he is losing his hair and shape.  But these are definitely Alex.

And the last we heard Alex had not talked anyone into paying to file divorce papers from his present wife, Laura, who continues to vociferously  attack anyone who dares tell the truth about him.

Alex shows his birth date as:   Born on November 12, 1962,  This is incorrect.  The correct date is one month later, the day before December 11th, 1962.  (Scroll down to see information on Lineage Page

Lives in Newport Beach, United States
Alex also does not live in NewPort Beach, but in Las Vegas, Nevada.  However, he CLAIMED to live in Newport Beach, using a mail drop there until very recently.

So, shall we speculate on what Alex is about, looking for a woman in NewPort Beach, well away from his residence with his present wife, Laura Anne Smith Montagu?

During the period of May and June Alex was very worried about the pre-trial scheduled in Las Vegas for July, which he managed to have postponed, claiming lack of counsel.  (He had no money to pay for counsel.)

If he had no money to pay for counsel and was married why would be be looking for a woman in Newport Beach for purposes of dating?

In the case of his long time bigamous marriage to Wendy Buford Montagu he approached marriage as a means of ensuring himself transportation and a place to live, plus other benefits.  He was looking for a 'relationship' on these terms when he met Wendy in 1992, marrying her in 1993.

Alex was offering to sell the title of Duchess, according to these articles, beginning in 1988,

The world now knows Alex knowingly entered into a bigamous marriage with Wendy in 1993, as he was still legally married to Marion Stoner Montagu.   The Stoner Story

2009

June 5th  - Wendy learned Alex had been married at the time at the time of their wedding but had signed off on his previous marriage in August 1996, 3 years into they were married.  Alex never personally paid any court ordered child or spousal support.

Alex continues to claim he 'paid support,' because the Trust made payments for the children directly to Wendy, who was awarded complete physical custody at the time of divorce in 20017.  Alex never paid either child support or alimony.

Wendy received on support from the time the Trust was informed by Alex of his bigamy until payments for the children were restored by decision of the Queen's Court.

July 19th - Law suit heard in the High Court of the Chancery, London, on the issue of the legitimacy of the two children of the non-marriage of Alex Montagu and Wendy Buford Montagu.  Children have rights as beneficiaries.

Today, Alex still owed over $20,000 in unpaid alimony, interest accruing.   This recent blather, and posting from Laura, ironically, claiming otherwise.

ANNOUNCEMENT:  We are still looking for the answer to the question, "How dumb can he get?"   and additionally:  "How dumb can she be?" and, "How Long Will She Last?"

Job Opportunities for the Duke and Doxie of Manchester

What are unemployable members of the quasi-aristocracy to do as the Funds run down and out?  Gosh.  Neither has ever held a real job for more than a few weeks, in Alex's case, and, well, it depends how you view Laura's 'profession' in her case.
So the idea of going to work for Craig (if he actually buys or rents a house in Los Angeles or Santa Barbara) doubtless has some appeal.  It would appeal to Craig to have two people at his beck and call, except that - what would they DO?

As Craig's Tea Party gets off the ground he will certainly need competent help - though, given the quality of what he spends money to put on line we have to question the need to be too picky.  And what if Craig was unwise enough, which might well be the case with unlimited money and a broken moral compass.

In any case, where does this leave Laura and Alex?  Making cold calls to Libertarians?  Imagine the ensuring dialog, if you can stand the thought.

Alex - "Hi!  I'm calling for Craig Franklin's Tea Party.  Do you have any girl children from eight to 30 you would like to rent out?   No?  Hello?"

Laura - "Hi!  I'm calling for the Libertines......We believe in....What do you want us to believe in?  A date?  When and where?"

Neither Alex or Laura can write, read their bloggings is you doubt this.  Both are completely clueless when it comes to politics and confused about the difference between political parties. Laura can't cook, or clean - though she can lie persuasively until the lies start to pile up on her, which happens all too soon.

Both have a difficult time following a conversation that includes any topic but money, the property they think they should have, long lost by previous generations of Montagus, and, in Laura's case, her Kitties.

It seems sort of hopeless, unless you look more closely.

There are two things Craig is well able to pay for.  Since he generally does not have a valid driver's license, in my experience I all too often had to drive him because it had been revoked for various causes, Craig has a crying need for a chauffeur.  Of course, Alex is not the idea driver, but it should be worth something to have a Duke in the driver's seat wearing your uniform, right Craig?

And Craig normally pays $5,000 a month for ready sex to multiple women, according to Anne Fisher, who certainly knew, since she and Regina Russell often found women for him.    Problems solved!

Now, where should they live?

UPDATE - New Court Date - November 28, 2012

Alex's case has been postponed until 28th Nov, 7.30am.
Alex found an attorney and so was represented in court yesterday.  The attorney's name is Derrick S. Penny.  This information was available on Mr. Penny from the Nevada Bar Association website.

So. the questions now posed are:

How long will this attorney last?

Will Esquire Penney return his retainer, as have some of the  past counselors who signed on to defend Alex?

And what is Alex going to do for transportation?

Will Craig come in and save the day, buying a car for Alex?

Will Alex and Laura move to Santa Barbara to become Craig's in-house staff while he produces his block-buster movie, "Craig Franklin's Tea Party?"

Stay tuned for more developments, updates here.

Another Day of Judgement for the Dolt

Drum Roll..........

8:30am  Pacific Time - Alex should now be sitting in court awaiting his preliminary hearing to begin.  This is a criminal trial, an action brought by the State of Nevada for passing a bad check.  The judge will determine if there is enough evidence to move to trial.  We can anticipate Montagu-Manchester will try the following:

First, claim he needs more time to obtain counsel.  This is a lie, of course.  He cannot afford an attorney.  We hope, and predict, the judge William D. Jansen, will assign a court appointed attorney.

Second, Alex will claim to need back surgery for ongoing back problems.  Alex claims to be disabled.  Of course, how was it possible for him to think he could become a long-haul truck driver one year ago when he also claims he is disabled?

Third, Alex will claim the car was a lemon and his wallet was stolen on video.  However, it is well known that Alex is perfectly capable of cutting his own brake lines and otherwise vandalizing a car when he does not want to continue to pay for it.  In this instance, he never paid anything for the car.  The check just bounced.   Above, you see Alex's Standard Operating Procedure for obtaining transportation.  This time it did not work as planned.

Wendy, Alex's former wife, routinely was forced to co-sign for car loans and then pay them off when Alex's checks continued to bounce.

Alex, why don't you show there was sufficient money in your account THE DAY YOU WROTE THE CHECK?  You won't, because the money was not there.  You had alienated your latest patsy, Raye Allan and you knew no more money would be shipped to you.

Have a lovely day, no one deserves it more.

Laura, you were warned.  Everyone tried, your friends, your mother, his children warned you, his former wife, Wendy warned you.  Now you have alienated everyone who might have helped you and your ugly lies have exposed you for what you are.  And it is not over yet.   This fall will be longer and more painful still.

The Lady - October 18, 2012 - Is this the world's naughtiest aristocrat?

Is this the world's naughtiest aristocrat?

The 13th Duke of Manchester has a list of offences including bigamy, debt, deception and deportation. On the eve of his next court appearance in Las Vegas, Marcus Scriven records the trials of the disgraceful duke

The Clark County Courthouse, Nevada, sounds as though it should be in a twohorse town marooned in wilderness; in fact, it’s in downtown Las Vegas. It’s here, on 25 October, that Judge William D Jansen will hear details of an alleged felony involving an unusual defendant – Alexander Charles David Drogo Montagu, 13th Duke of Manchester.

The 49-year-old, who sometimes styles himself ‘Lord Alex’, is, nominally at least, an eminent member of the British peerage, and undoubtedly the only one to have been exposed as a bigamist, as he was last year in the High Court in London. Twice imprisoned (in Australia), once deported (from Canada), he came to American attention ’first in 1988 when embroiled in the divorce of Lia Belli and her husband Melvin, a legendary attorney. That summer, an intruder broke into the Bellis’ San Francisco residence, ’firing twice at Mrs Belli but missing. Police interviewed Alex but did not detain him.

It’s from California that his latest case is being most closely monitored, by the woman with the doubtful privilege of knowing him better than anyone: the second of his ex-wives, Wendy Buford. They met in April 1992 at the Crazy Horse bar in Santa Ana, California, when Wendy, then 24, was juggling work at a law firm with parttime waitressing. With minimal knowledge of the aristocracy – her father was a salesman, her mother a waitress – she was ill-prepared for the whirlwind that struck her that night. It took the rugged form of a thick-set, good-looking 29-year-old, with an Australian accent and a card parading his name in embossed gold lettering. His charm was insistent and irresistible. Although they spoke only briefly, it was long enough for Alex to extract Wendy’s telephone number.

Days later, he’d installed himself in her apartment. ‘He told me I love you so much: “I love you, I love you, I love you”,’ she remembers. The words were matched by ‘hugging, holding hands’ and the first in a šflood of cards signed ‘Eternally yours’. There were grand, if unde’funed, plans and the reassurance: ‘You won’t have to worry about a thing’.

A practical, disciplined person, Wendy carried on working. Alex, who remained at home, focused on her car. ‘He said, “It doesn’t make sense, your car just sitting there all day, when I don’t have one”.’ She gave him the keys. He then wrecked it and replaced it with a cheque. The cheque was a dud, but Wendy forgave her man, who elicited her sympathy by explaining that he had no relationship with his father, Angus, the 12th Duke, whose closest friend, Kerry Cheeseman, was the founder of Aristocats escort agency. Later, Alex told her that his mother had died.
DukeManchester-00-Quote-382
Wendy then became pregnant with their first child, Alexander Jr, who was born in May 1993, six days after they married in a civil ceremony that, Alex insisted, had to take place immediately and without guests. She was by then familiar with his volatility, his effusive proclamations and his need for control. She was forbidden from checking the mail and his rejoinder to her many enquiries was: ‘It’s being taken care of’.

But in those pre-internet days, she gave him the benefit of the doubt, unaware of his marriage in 1984 to an Australian model, Marion Stoner, who had considered him ‘a real gentleman’ until ‘the spear-gun incident’ (Alex had ƒfired at her but missed), or of his front-page appearance in a British Sunday newspaper (declaring his willingness to marry any woman who’d pay him £25m), or his nine months in prison in Australia in 1985 (for obtaining money by deception), or his second incarceration in 1991 (for hiring a rental car in one State and selling it in another), or his deportation from Canada (for entering the country illegally) where, in Vancouver, he enjoyed a relationship with Katie Lynch, a former stripper.

More documentation to follow...........

Wendy will get the court the documentation on your car purchases for the last 20 years.  Would that be helpful?   Think about it.

A little commentary -

MY RECENT CAR SITUATION IN THE GREAT LAS VEGAS. THIS IS A GREAT CITY WITH GREAT PEOPLE.

My recent situation with a  car company in Nevada,

"It Was(sic) a car company that was not a registered legal car dealer."
Paying with a bouncing check is illegal even if you buy from a private party.  Bad form, you know.
"The car broke down within two weeks of purchase. The car warranty was the worst anyone has ever seen!"
So, why are you unable to buy from reputable dealers?  Is it because you still owe money on the last car you purchased and stopped paying for? I recall you telling me you had to park it away from your residence so it would not be repossessed.
"The company would not take responsibility"
Perhaps they thought they should be paid something before you received service.  Did that occur to you?
"The check was canceled because my wallet was stolen on camera we have the video."
What would this, if true, have to do with your checking account or making good on your purchases?
"The car was a lemon at the beginning these car company's were so friendly it seemed fine."
Wendy says writing a bad check was Standard Operating Procedure for you and this happened all the time during the years you were married, or at least she thought she was married.  She has paperwork verifying you continually 'bought' cars and then forced her to make good on your bad checks, using her 401K.
We are handling the situation it took time to get the tape to prove my wallet was stolen.
Is this letter your idea of 'handling' the situation?
I had been in touch with them they knew what was going on with the car they did not want to come get the car they wanted me to tow the car at my expense.  And I did.
But did you make good on the bounced check?
They also sold me a "warranty" that was not bumper to bumper like they told me.
If that was the case why have you not filed a claim for fraud?  Silence is deep and eloquent.
Everything is being taken care of.
Just like always, right?

Much more documentation will also follow,  - Not -  it never happens.

Sincerely,
The Duke of Manchester

A Call from Laura - Who paid for the Ritz- Carleton? Craig Franklin?

Today Laura, the Duchess of Manchester, placed a phone call to the Duke's 13 year old daughter.  The girl informed Laura she did not want to talk to her.  The girl asked to talk to her father.  This resulted in a barrage of filthy language.

Neither the Duke or his present wife has seen the girl since she was nine years old, in January, 2009.  Distraught, the girl called her mother, the former wife of Alexander, 13th Duke of Manchester, at her work.

Although the Duke has never paid court-ordered support for his two children, according to Laura, they have enough money to spend time at the Ritz-Carleton, Laura's favorite hotel, and vacation on the island of Catalina, when they like.

Informed of the call, Wendy, the former wife of Manchester, tried to calm her daughter.

After they hung up, Laura called the girl back.  The girl remembered Laura saying, for publication, "She was acting like nothing had happened.  I asked if my father was in the room."   Immediately Laura handed the phone to him and he spoke to me."  I said, "Are you aware of how your wife has been talking to me?"  Dad said, "no, what?"

The call was disconnected immediately.  The call would probably not have been answered if Laura had been calling from the phone number which she is proud of having had for over 20 years.  But a call placed to that number afterward ascertained it had been disconnected, quite possibly because of non-payment of the bill.  The announcement said, "This is no longer a working number."

Laura might be worried about Alex's pre-trial hearing for passing a bad check.  Or they could be feeling  the pinch because the Manchester Trust recently cut their monthly stipend.

The girl wants no further contact with her father or his wife.

Wendy and her daughter are worried Alex and Laura are trying to abduct the girl so they can try to get control of the stipend paid for her support by the Trusts. Wendy said, "everyone knows they only want her for her allowance.  I've stopped their ability to contact her on the advice of CPS."

The girl concluded.  "There has been no birthday card, no Christmas card, nothing but lies and abuse, over and over again, for years.  Their voice mail messages are disgusting.  No, I don't want to see them.  I'm finished."

UPDATE:  In response to our recent query, no, the background in this photo is not the apartment of John Fund.  While the Montagus live in squalor (nod to the book written by Marcus Scriven, Splendor and Squalor - The Disgrace and Disintegration of Three Aristocratic Dynasties), not even they have ever subsisted in an apartment filled to the ankles with a morass of papers and garbage and forgotten they possessed a rug.  Also, the Montagus have two cats who would certainly have made sure their bed was not littered with rat feces, which was the case with Fund's apartment in 2001.   Also, since the Montagu's are evicted so often there is not time for the refuse to build up to any appreciable degree.  Additionally, the Manchesters  don't read and are barely literate.  Therefore they don't bring home magazines, papers, and printouts from work (having no jobs), which is the case with John Fund.  John, as you probably know, is no longer with the WSJ having moved on the American Spectator.

The background in the image below was sent to me by Alex after he kicked Laura out, about a year ago.   The face is definitely Laura.

July 31, 2011 - The bigamist Duke and his three wives – Telegraph

The bigamist Duke and his three wives – Telegraph

July 31, 2011
Australia, Britain, Canada, Crime, People

After the 13th Duke of Manchester’s marital misdemeanours were aired in the High Court, his (very) extended family talk about the trials that the ignoble aristocrat has put them through.
It is the astonishing story of the bigamous duke, his three wives, and the illegitimate Californian son who could now inherit one of Britain’s most scandal-plagued peerages.
The chequered life of Alexander Montagu, the Australian-born 13th Duke of Manchester, has been thrown into the spotlight by a High Court ruling last week that instructed family trustees to re-instate monthly payments to his two American children, offspring from a marriage that had been declared â€Å“bigamous and void”.
Even by the sometimes ignoble standards of the aristocracy, the clan̢۪s fall from the grace has been as spectacular as it has been tawdry.
Today, after the far-flung marital misdemeanours of the errant 48-year-old aristocrat reached the High Court in London, new details about the Duke – who has served jail time in Australia and been deported from Canada – can now be revealed.
The Duke’s three wives – two past, one present – as well as the duke’s teenage son and long-presumed heir, cast light on the misdemeanours of â€Å“Lord Alex”, as the disgraced peer calls himself.
His first wife, Marion Stoner, 61, said she was not even aware that he had married again before divorcing her until she was contacted by The Sunday Telegraph. She said their short-lived relationship in the early 1980s had ended when he tried to shoot her with a fishing speargun.
But the former Australian model̢۪s marriage to the Duke was not ended legally until 1996, three years into his purported marriage to Wendy Buford, 44, a Californian law firm receptionist and mother of his two children.
Miss Buford, who in 1993 unwittingly entered into the bigamous relationship with the Duke, last week described her life with the peer as â€Å“15 years of heartache”.
Recognising her children’s claim on financial support from their father, which had been stopped when the offspring’s illegitimacy was revealed, Mr Justice Floyd ruled there was â€Å“absolutely no doubt that at the relevant times Wendy reasonably believed that the marriage was valid”, before their divorce in 2007.
Even the Duke’s 18-year-old American-born son Alexander, who has the title Viscount Mandeville, told this paper of his shock at learning of his and his sister’s illegitimacy. He also explained he is currently preparing to start his first job – as a cook in a fast-food outlet in Orange County, California, specialising in chicken sandwiches.
However, Laura Montagu, 49, the current duchess and another former model, is standing by her man, despite the disclosures about his past, which she portrayed as youthful indiscretions.
The court saga is the latest sorry twist for a family that is a living lesson in ducal decadence. The dukedom of Manchester was created in 1719 by George I, but there is little now left of its estates or wealth.
Marcus Scriven, the society author, has detailed the family̢۪s self-destructive descent over a century of profligacy, fecklessness and philandering in his book Splendour and Squalor.
The family seat for four centuries, Kimbolton Castle in Cambridgeshire, was sold off by the 10th duke in 1950 while he was living in Kenya. Another estate, in Co Armagh, was also offloaded and is now the headquarters a potato crisp maker.
The excesses reached their apogee with the four-times married 12th duke, Angus, a conman who was jailed in the US for fraud, ran brothels in Australia and was so overweight when he died in 2002 that he had to be removed from his flat by a crane.
â€Å“It was understandable that a newspaper should describe him as ‘a one-man argument against the hereditary rights of peers’,” said Scriven. â€Å“As a Kimbolton man who knew Angus in childhood puts it: ‘What I’m wondering is, where are the white sheep in this family?’”
The 13th Duke has lived up – or down – to his genes. He was twice convicted of fraud in Australia and later deported from Canada for entering the country illegally, but not before striking up a relationship with an erstwhile stripper and falsely claiming to be a second cousin of Diana, Princess of Wales, and 52nd in line to the throne.
Wendy Buford was oblivious to all this when, aged 24, she met a dashing stranger with an Australian accent in the Crazy Horse bar in the Californian city of Santa Ana in April 1992. â€Å“In retrospect, it was just one of those nights when you wish you’d gone home,” she said last week.
Miss Buford, the only child of a waitress and construction salesman, was working at a law firm, with a part-time job as a waitress, when she went to the country and western bar with her best friend.
â€Å“All of a sudden, there was this guy by my side. He was just a blur of action. He said he’d seen me in the line to get in and needed to meet me. He insisted that he really wanted to see me again and gave me a card with his name, Alexander Charles David Drogo Montagu, in gold raised letters.
â€Å“We spoke for barely five minutes, it was all so fast. He told me how beautiful I was and that he wanted to take me to dinner. And then he asked me for my number. That was my big mistake number two. I wasn’t going to give it to him, but then I thought: ‘What’s the harm?’”
She was, she says, â€Å“swept off her feet” by a man who introduced himself as Lord Alex and talked of yachts and mansions, even as he discussed selling off his title to make money.
It was a whirlwind relationship – they met in April 1992, briefly split in July, and a month later she discovered she was pregnant – a deliberate move by her to entrap him, he claimed last week.
â€Å“He was a handsome man, charming and very well turned out. But he was also very controlling, wanted to run the show and could get very angry. And then there were the stories. There was always a glimmer of truth. But over the years, I came to realise it was only a glimmer.”
In early May 1993, and several days overdue, Miss Buford came back from the shops to a stunning demand. â€Å“He said: ‘We have to get married. Now.’ He was insistent. He said he was working on a bond deal and someone was trying to get him deported.
“He took me straight to the courthouse. I had tears in my eyes, I was thinking: ‘This is not the way it’s supposed to be.’ I was huge and wearing a horrible maternity dress.”
She felt no excitement at becoming a duchess, a title she never used, just embarrassment at being the bride in a shotgun wedding. And she says that within days of Alexander’s birth, her new husband was â€Å“dragging me around immigration lawyers”.
The Duke disputed her account, saying that he had got married at the behest of his mother in Australia, who had been telling him â€Å“to do the right thing”. Yet it now turns out that it was far from the right thing to do – for he was still married to his first wife.
Last week, Ms Stoner expressed her dismay when she learned that she had been one of his contemporaneous wives during an interview with The Sunday Telegraph in the kitchen of her Melbourne council house.
â€Å“Oh my God,” she said, struggling to contain her surprise and rising anger. â€Å“That is shocking. It’s unbelievable. How dare he? I feel sorry for his wife – I really do. It’s so cruel. How must she feel? He’s a cunning b––––––. She was as stupid as I was.”
They married at a small civil ceremony in Melbourne in 1984, when she was 33 and he was 21. She said the marriage fell apart within months when he tried to shoot her with a speargun in their kitchen, but they never divorced.
Then, in 1996, Ms Stoner received an visit from the duke̢۪s mother, Mary, Lady Angus Montagu, the daughter of a car dealer in Geelong. She had not previously met his family, but when the matriarch, accompanied by her daughter, Emma, asked her to agree to divorce her son, she happily agreed.
Ms Stoner recalled last week that she had a sickening suspicion that the Montagu family had an ulterior motive for pursuing a divorce after so long, suspecting that, perhaps, the convicted criminal had strayed again.
â€Å“I thought it was strange,” said Ms Stoner, shaking her head as she reached for another cigarette. â€Å“Why would Lady Mary lower herself to come to a council area to ask for a divorce? I thought: ‘I bet he has done something.’”
While recounting her various brushes with the Montagu family, Ms Stoner also express sorrow for the second wife of the duke’s bigamy. â€Å“I feel sorry for her, I really do,” she said, running her hands through her burgundy-tinted hair.
â€Å“I bet she didn’t know anything about me. He has fathered those children, whether or not they are illegitimate. Those poor kids. I only hope they don’t turn out like him.”
Ms Stoner, 61, had two children from a previous relationship when she was introduced to the Duke by a friend who worked as a secretary for his guardian. â€Å“He had charm but he lived in a fantasy world,” she said.
â€Å“He was not bad looking. He made out he was a thorough gentleman but as soon as we got married he was different. He was used to having things. I became his possession.”
For more than 20 years, the former duchess has lived in a small box-shaped house whose walls are adorned with black-and-white family photos, second-hand bric-a-brac and bouquets of faded plastic flowers.
She has kept no photos of the Duke or her marriage, but in a carton at the bottom of a bedroom cupboard, she found the receipt for a notice she put in a newspaper to say she would no longer be liable for debts incurred in his name.
â€Å“These people with a title,” she said. â€Å“They think they’re so good. It is just a name. What gives them the right to destroy other people’s lives?”
Much of what Ms Stoner recounted about hollow financial promises, bounced cheques and a life of debt, bore a resemblance to the experiences of the woman with whom she unknowingly shared a husband for three years.
Miss Buford said her 15 years with the duke were a â€Å“rollercoaster ride”. She said he rarely worked, that they were thrown out of countless apartments after he failed to pay the rent, and that debt collectors’ summons were a fact of life.
â€Å“I am a very down-to-earth, straightforward person, but I just gave up complaining, as even my family and friends were sick of hearing about it.”
He often dropped famous names with whom he said he was striking business deals, but only once did she meet a celebrity with him. When they attended a memorial event for Diana, Princess of Wales, in Los Angeles in 1997, he turned up with Michael Jackson – â€Å“I was never sure about the connection” – and subsequently took Alexander to meet the pop star at his Neverland ranch.
She says that he was addicted to prescription drugs; he counters that he took them for bipolarity, and that she was a hard-drinking â€Å“party girl” who left him in charge of bringing up the children.
The couple finally split after New Year̢۪s in 2007. It was not until 2009, however, that he delivered the bombshell that, not only that he had been married before, but that the divorce from his first wife had not been processed until 1996.
â€Å“Even after all my years with Alex, I never saw that one coming,” she said last week. â€Å“I’d been miserable and the kids had been put through so much, but I thought at least we were married. Even that wasn’t true.”
That news was devastating. But then she heard from the family trustees that they were halting monthly allowance payments of $3,000 – around £1,850 – a decision that left her once again on the verge of losing a home, before it was reversed last week.
For the peer’s progeny, the court ruling was a welcome relief after the unnerving discovery two years ago. â€Å“I’d heard the word ‘bigamist’, but it was a total shock to learn my father was one and what that meant for me and my sister Ashley,” said Alexander. â€Å“But then again, nothing is surprising about my father anymore.”
He is an unassuming young man, with the typical focus of a southern Californian teenager – as he spoke to The Sunday Telegraph, his friends waited for him to join them at the pool in their gated community in a commuter town in Orange County, in the baking hills south of Los Angeles.
But he also knows all about the excesses of his recent forebears. â€Å“I don’t think it’s rubbed off on me. At least, I hope not,” he said.
Indeed, while male Montagus have displayed a peerless penchant for playing fast and loose with the law and their legacy, he has down-to-earth goals for life. He wants to make his way as a chef and hopes to take culinary and business studies after finishing high school this year.
And he will get his first taste of that world as a cook next month at a local shopping mall franchise of Chick-Fil-A, the â€Å“great chicken sandwich” outlet. â€Å“It’s starting from the ground up, but you have to begin somewhere,” he said.
â€Å“I’m not one to flash titles, unlike my father, who was always trying to get Ashley and me into theme parks for free, saying he was Lord Alex. That was so embarrassing,” he said.
â€Å“My friends think it’s cool I’m a viscount [he pronounces the word â€Å“vise-count”], but they can’t figure out why I’m not living in a castle in England.”
Although the High Court ruling restored the modest maintenance payments from the family trust, it does not establish the issue of succession. The young Alexander had been viewed as the heir presumptive, but the 14th duke will be determined by the House of Lords after the current peer dies.
Amid the controversy and condemnation, the self-styled Lord Alex has a staunch supporter in his third wife, the former Laura Smith, a Californian estate agent whom he married shortly after divorcing Miss Buford in 2007 – in the correct order, on this occasion.
â€Å“He’s not a bigamist, he was just a young man who made a genuine mistake,” she told The Sunday Telegraph. â€Å“He really thought he was divorced and this whole story is very upsetting for him.”
She echoes her husband̢۪s claims that he has been unjustly vilified by his last wife, and pillories the family trust for, she says, granting him a pittance.
And unlike Ms Stoner and Miss Buford, she is enthusiastic about her title. Indeed, in an online profile, complete with a picture from her modelling years, she describes herself as â€Å“a Duchess of pure positive energy and love!”
The Duke, in a rambling interview from his apartment in Las Vegas, following last week̢۪s court ruling, responded with a barrage of accusations blaming the family trust, Miss Buford and his mother for his predicament.
â€Å“I am pretty upset this is all going on, to be honest,” he said, his Australian accent still strong. â€Å“This has all been conjured up by the trustees and Wendy.
â€Å“I am not a bigamist. There was no intent to commit bigamy. I believed I was divorced from my first wife. It was an error in the paperwork by my mother. She had told me she got it annulled. I can’t stand my mother.”
When asked about the alleged speargun incident, he told The Sunday Telegraph: â€Å“This is a lie. If that took place, why am I not in jail? And why would I not just shoot her with my Walther P5? I never, ever miss!”
The younger Alexander Montagu hopes to visit Britain for the first time later this year. For now, his only inheritance from his father is a black shirt bearing the family crest and its Latin motto, â€Å“Disponendo Me Non Mutande Me” – â€Å“You may displace me but you cannot change me.”
He added, matter-of-factly: â€Å“That’s it – no castle, no jewels.”

Melinda receives a letter from the Dolt this morning, October 1st, 2012

And yet another delusional Moment from the Dolt. Below is an excellent example of the sad strategies used by the Dolt, over the period of his entire lifetime, to win by intimidation. Of course, these are among the techniques used routinely by both John Fund and Karl Rove. Perhaps Karl Rove and John Fund should give him some further training.

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE UNDERTAKEN TO PROTECT POSSIBLE VICTIMS FROM THE PREDATORY ACTS OF THOSE WITHOUT CONSCIENCE.

Our legal system fails to take into account the ability of those without conscience to appear to be telling the truth as they show no shame or guilt.  Always look for documentation.  This site provides documentation on the past of Alexander, 13th Duke of Manchester.

The letter from Alex, received by email from lmontymont@xxxx.com is presented in RED

MELINDA I DID NOT DO ANYTHING
Everyone knows you don't do anything useful or honest. Given your employment history even a moron could come to this logical conclusion. Alex's 'Employment' History.

WHY IS THERE FELONY WARRANTS FOR YOU IN 7 STATES IN THIS BEUTIFULL COUNTRY THE USA
Notice the Dolt again forgets to provide any documentation of copies of these warrants. What would these warrants have been issued for as I have never even received a parking ticket?

Such records look like this:

YOU ARE A FRAUD
Ad hominem attack. This is a standard technique used by the Dolt, and incidentally others, as an attempt to intimidate.

I GOT TO READ THE MANUSCRIPT OF THE BOOK WRITTEN ABOUT YOU ITIS A 300 PAGE BOOK THAT ALREADY HAS A PUBLISHER
No one would pay any of you for any book because none of you, with the exception of Joni, can write a grammatically correct sentence.

YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL I HAVE COPYS OF THE WARRANTS AGAINST YOU SO DOES THE BOOK AUTHOR
Why so secretive about the name of the author? Presumably, if someone, for instance Craig, was paying for such an effort, it would be ghost written for Morgan. Have you told the ghost writer they would still be vulnerable for libel? Morgan knows this. She and Jay hoped I would not have support from my family and friends to rebut. They are wrong, yet again.

If there are warrants why hasn't anyone sent ME copies? Certainly my present location is no secret.

I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU SHOULD BE WATING FOR ME AS I AM GOING TO BE THE PERSON WHO COMES AFTER YOU WITH ALL OF THESE WARRANTS
How would you get here? Used another check to steal a car? Is Laura turning tricks for gas money?

AND AM GOING TO PLACE YOU UNDER ARREST AND AM GOING TO COLLECT THE BOUNTY OUT ON YOU
The FBI says they do not authorize anyone to do this and neither does any federal, state, or local jurisdiction. I've been told they are rather hostile to people who present themselves as having any such authority. Another whopper from the Dolt.

AND FROM THERE YOU WILL NOT GET BAIL AND YOU WILL SPEND THEREST OF YOUR MISERBLE BLOOD SUCKING LIFE.
Want to put those warrants up on line? Since you and Laura figured out how to put your children's birth certificates up on line after ranting and raving how these documents could somehow be used to harm them, when Wendy and I did so.  Outrageous, since Wendy is their mother and has complete physical custody.  Neither of you have seen either of them in years.  Perhaps people should listen to the kinds of messages you leave on answering machines.  We'll get that link for folks.

Of course, you did manage to put up all those pictures of the both of you taken so long ago, before you started losing your hair and Laura started getting so long in the tooth (Happy 50th Birthday, by the way, Laura). It would be good for your credibility, you know. If you actually had any.

JUST WATE AND SEE I PROMISE YOU IT WILL BE VERY SOON JUST REMEMBER THAT EVERY MORNING YOY AWAKE MIGHT BE THELAST DAY BEFORE YOU WAKE UP A FREE WOMAN AS THE NEXT MORNING YOU WILL AWAKE IN PRISON AND YOU WILL BE IN PRISON FOR ALL THE FRAUDS YOU HAVE COMITED AND FOR ALL OFF THE OVER 150 THOUSAND DOLLARS OF BAD CHECKS YOU HAVE WRITTEN
Since this is clearly projection does this mean you are confessing to $150,000 in bad checks passed, yourself? Or is that only an estimate? How are preparations for your trial in Las Vegas coming along? What was the charge? Oh. Right. Passing a bad check.

Do you have any legal representation as of yet?

JAY HAS BEEN UP TO RAYLENS HOUSE SEVERAL TIMES AND HAS JUST WAITED TO HAVE YOU COME OUT AS HE WAS GOING TO ARREST YOU HE HAS TAKEN VIDEO OF THE WHOLE OUT SIDE OF RAYLONS HOUSE AND I KNOW THE HOUSE AND THE AREA BETTER THAN I WANT TO BUT I JUST LOOKFORWARD TO US ARRESTING YOU THE POLICE ARE VERY MUCH AWAER OFALL OF US AND THEY HAVE SAID THAT WHEN WE COME BACK TO TOWN THEY WILL GIVE US ALL THE ASSISTANCE WE WILL NEED TO ARREST YOU WITH 100% LEGEAL SUPPORT AND THEN WE WILL TAKE YOU TO THE FIRST STATE AND COUNTY THAT HAS THE HIGHEST WARRENT AGAINST YOU AND WE WILL HAND YOU IN THERE THERE IS SO MANY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE THERE WHEN WE ARREST YOU YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT IT AND THE WALL STREET JOURNEL WANTS TO BE THERE AND THEY WANT TO OF AS MUCH MEDIA AS POSSIBLE FOLLOWING US AS THEY ALL THINK IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT STORY WHATCH A SCAM ARTIST A CON WOMAN AND JUST A VERY EVIL PERSON BE PUT IN JAIL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Is your abuse of the English language ever going to stop? If there were warrants why would you wait? Jay is supposed to be blind and receiving disability checks. So how can he drive that far? How can he afford the gas? Is this your confession all of you are still being paid by Craig and Green Hills Software to harass and abuse me? I think I should send this to Jay's former employer, I have their names and addresses, and the SSI Disability. Thanks!

YOU SHOULD ORGANISE SOMEONE FOR AURTHER.
How sweet of you to be concerned. You and Laura should organizing someone for your cats, they are going to be needed a new home soon – you know, after October 25th. Your support from the Trusts will be suspended when you are in jail, according to what I have heard.

BY THE WAY DID YOU KNOW JOAN AND YOUR EX HUSBAND ARE BACK TOGETHER AND HAVE BEEN FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS WE MET THEM AT THE FOUR SEASONS HOTEL IN SANTA BARBERA WERE YOUR EX HUSBAND PAID FOR THE NIGHT FOR US AND LAURA AND JOAN HAD A COMPLETE DAY SPA DAY WHICH COST 1200 DOLLARS EACH IT WAS VERY NICE OF CRAIG TO DO
What a lovely holiday for all of you! But why is Joni now living in Ft. Worth and still working on PR?
You know, of course, that Craig is no longer with Green Hills Software, Inc. Check the Management Team Page. This took place, coincidentally, soon after he wrote me that letter I posted on the Craig Franklin and Green Hills Software site.

HE IS REALLY A VERY NICEPERSON HE GAVE US A LOT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CRIMONAL ACTIVITYS AND THE COMPLETELIST OF A LOT MORE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SEE YOU IN JAIL AS YOU SCAMED AND CONED THEM AFTER THAT THEN WE ARE ALL GOING SUE YOU AND YOUR LOVER RAYLON
Why are you so fixated on other people's sex lives? Raye is not my lover, we just work together.  Neither of us are gay. Is this because you can't have sex yourself? Remember, you told me about that and about how Laura dances nude for you so you can get some jollies when I was interviewing you for the book you solicited me to write and then welched on, for which I never even got around to filing a claim in small claims court.  The aggression and energy you exhibited in abusing and harassing me astonished both myself and Wendy.

Wendy says you always leave people alone after you screw them over.  But, of course, the group of you were being compensated by Craig, which is the most likely explanation for your continued attentions.
